How has technology impacted or changed your classroom assessment and evaluation. Has your data collection methodology changed with technology? If technology has not impacted your assessment and evaluation, what would you like to change? Discuss technology and your own productivity and professional practice. Decription My reflection this week is based off of the assigned readings including ISTE's Technology Facilitation and Leadership Standards chapters 4 and 5. It is also based off of the content resources as well as my participation in the discussion board topics. Impact Throughout this module I have reflected a lot on how I use assessment and evaluation in my classroom. There are many ways I asses my students. I use DRA and DIBELS to assess my students' reading (or reading readiness) ability. I turn these scores into the title 1 team and they feed the data into the computer and print out the results for my students. Based on these scores I can plan to address the needs of my students, whether they need to be re-taught a concept or if they are ready to move on. I also learned about different types of productivity tools in this module. I was fascinated to see all the different types of productivity tools there are out there. I enjoyed reading what my colleagues wrote about the different types of productivity tools various people in their schools use or they use themselves. I am interested in trying out some of the different productivity tools because I think it will make my job easier because I do notice myself "reinventing the wheel" to make my own versions of productivity tools. It would be way less time consuming to use the tools that are there for me to use and I wouldn't stress myself out over making something that is already available. Intent Because of this learning module I will be able to use different types of productivity tools in my classroom. I will not try to "reinvent the wheel" if a tool I need already exists instead of trying to make something up myself. I will also not take for granted the time the title 1 team takes to make data packets for me on my students. I realize it takes time to input the data and that it is something I can really use to see how my students are progressing. I will use the data to a greater extent rather than just looking at the numbers.
